Bible for LifeIn 1 Timothy 4:7, the Apostle Paul urges Timothy (and all Christians, thereafter) to "train yourself for Godliness". God has given us the Bible as the source of divine Truth and it's meant to be applied to our lives. Bible for Life classes are designed as a way to grow in Godliness by providing in-depth studies on topics related to Theology, Church History and practical living --- all with a view toward personal application. These classes are geared for everyone high school age and up and are offered several times a year on Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:30 am. Childcare provided. Classes are free, but registration is required. Click here to listen to past messages. New classes start May 16 and meet every Sunday morning through June 6. Is He a stern taskmaster out to rid the world of fun and excitement? If God is full of love and grace does that mean he doesn't require anything of you? Does He really know what's going on in your life...or care? Why should you be confident in God as your refuge and strength? What are the attributes of God and why should they bring you great joy and comfort? If God is wholly "other" then how can you know anything about Him? Who is this God that calls you to live your entire life for His glory? Join us as we open the Scriptures and attempt to gain a deeper and more accurate understanding of who God is, how He interacts with those whom He has created, and why we need to know Him. Have you ever thought that? More importantly, is it true? In a word, "no." So what was God saying through the men like Matthew, Mark, Paul, and Peter? Do the Gospels have a different message than the Epistles? Is the Book of Revelation some sort of code that only the most insightful among us can figure out? Are these books simply a record of the early church or does God's Word continue to speak to us today? The world has never been the same since Christ lived, died and rose again! Join us as we continue to see God's revelation unfold in the pages of the New Testament. To sign-up for this class, please click here. |
