God meant for Christians to do life together. We are called to encourage one another (Hebrews 10:25), to carry each other's burdens (Galatians 6:2), and to exercise our spiritual gifts for the building up of the church (Ephesians 4:16). Christ instructs us to build rich, meaningful relationships within the body.

However, relationships like this don't just happen. Care Groups are our attempt to make strong relationships a reality at Sovereign Grace Church. Groups meet two times a month in various church members' homes throughout the Hampton Roads area. A typical care group consists of 15-30 adults.

Care Group leaders are men who have been identified and trained by the pastoral team. These men serve their groups by facilitating the pursuit of God-centered relationships. Meetings include singing, prayer, a discussion, and a time of conversation afterward. The aim of each meeting is to care for one another as we seek to honor God with our lives. Come prepared to receive and to give. These are not just Bible studies, we are sharing our lives.

Guests are always welcome! For more information, please look at our list of married and single caregroups. More information on how to participate in a small group in your area is available on Sundays at the Guest Reception or by contacting the church office.
