Alpha
Have you ever asked yourself, "What is the meaning of Life?", "What's going to happen when I die?" or "How do I deal with guilt?" If so, you may find useful answers to these questions and more at a class called ALPHA. ALPHA is a practical introduction to the Christian faith. It runs on four consecutive Thursday evenings. Each week there is good food, a talk, and small group discussion.

What Is ALPHA?
The ALPHA Course is a four-week, practical exploration of the Christian faith. ALPHA is about making friends, sharing a meal, and talking with ordinary people who have questions about God and Christianity. It involves dinner, a brief talk, and informal discussion. Some topics include:
- "Who is Jesus?"
- "Why did Jesus die?"
- "How can I be sure of my faith?"
- Other questions
What Is A Typical Meeting Like?
ALPHA guests arrive at 7:00 pm and heavy hors d'oeuvres served shortly after. Many individuals come straight to ALPHA after work - so bring an appetite! We think you will really enjoy the food, and you'll especially enjoy not having to cook on Thursdays! After the appetizers there is a talk on a topic about the Christian faith. Following the talk, there will be a transition to a small group discussion. Guests are encouraged, but not required, to bring questions and comments to the conversation. Some people ask questions, some people don't. We'll leave that up to you! Our evening will wrap up with coffee, dessert and a time of fellowship.
Is There Childcare?
Yes! Please bring your children. Children 2+ are supervised and served dinner and have an opportunity to play with other children while you attend the ALPHA course. If you have younger children, let us know and we'll see what we can do to help.
Where and When Is ALPHA?
The ALPHA Course is held two times a year at Sovereign Grace Church. The meeting begins at 7:00 pm. The next ALPHA dates will be released shortly.
What Does It Cost?
The course, including the appetizers and materials, are provided free of charge. The only thing you are required to invest is your time - and we think you will experience excellent returns!
